Eden Parish

Marlowe has been around a long time. He's seen a lot of things, and is always on the run. When he moves to a cabin outside of Pine Oaks, Oregon, he finds that the past isn't something you can run away from.

From deranged gangsters to otherworldly, monstrous creatures; Marlowe has a fateful, single question to answer:
What makes a man who can't die want to live?

A story about responsibility, cruelty, and the ability to forgive, Eden Parish is a story with no hero, no villain - just the horrible consequences of the past.

Eden Parish is the next part of The Americana Mythos, which also includes Years of The Worm and The Visitor.

Years Of The Worm

" Robert Hull, rockstar-alcholic turned sober horror writer, is greeted one day by an old friend from his childhood; and the next by police, after his friend commits suicide after a grisly crime.

Returning home to North Dakota, Hull has to reunite the group of story-telling friends from his youth, The Nightmare Club, and find out who - or what - has caused so much misery for so many years, and solve the mystery of The Dooley House.

Part haunted house tale, part bildungsroman, and part tender examination of friendship and time, Years of The Worm is a horror story about growing up."

Gods Acre

"The town of Sunset, Minnesota has a secret: Sometimes folk won't stay dead."

"Tucked away at Toluca Cemetery, a man has been guarding the dead for as long as he can remember. There's only three rules:

1) The dead don't leave the grounds.

2) The dead are back in the ground for sunrise.

3)The dead have to be put down if they remember the other side.

Meanwhile, in Texas, a runaway girl, Milwaukee "Milly" Winters, begins to make her way across the country. Milly has a secret too, though.
As the two disparate lives begin to meet, a conspiracy among the dead is uncovered- that could end the world of the living."

Eldritch

This is a book I didn't really set out to write; aiming to be more of a short story than anything else, but, quickly, I accidentally wrote around 7,000 words in one night, and had a plot outline- generally- for a "The Stand" style apocalyptic tale; and has some of the best writing I've ever done with in it. I don't want to spoil what it is yet, but, compared to some of my other projects, is more straight up, pure horror.

Not that the cover gave that away, or anything. But you know.

You can check back here regularly for updates; where I'll also be talking a little bit about my progress, writing stuff, etc, over at the Journal page.

Cheers!

Rabid

Rabid is the direct prequel to my first book, The Visitor, and talks about a series of strange, fairly occultish crimes committed against the mob in the snowy winter of 1979 in the fictional town of Imalone, Washington.

Similarly to The Visitor, Rabid is going to be a mixture of horror, crime, with a nice chunk of pitch black comedy thrown in.

If you buy The Visitor when it's released at the end of the month/beginning of next month, you'll be able to get an early look at the very first chapter of Rabid.

Blurb:

"Imalone, Washington. 1979.

A war hero turned cop, Sam Wenters, is living in the cozy, quiet town of Imalone, with his son, Harold, and his girlfriend, Adelaide.

One night, taking a late night call, he is greeted by a gruesome sight: four brutal slayings in a small diner outside of town, the people inside shot to pieces by a shotgun.

Meanwhile, a town away, Jackie Durrows, a man with a history with Wenters, is in the pocket of mobsters as a bodyguard, driver, (and on occasion) 'waste removal' expert. When the case at the diner begins to intertwine with Jackie's life, the two former friends who have grown distant in post watergate, post Vietnam America have to meet, and, ultimately, try and figure out who (or what) is after them."

Like with The Visitor, you'll be able to buy Rabid via a link here when it releases, hopefully sometime around Christmas (so, you know, you could give it to someone as a gift, or, if you don't like it, could give it to someone you hate. I don't know).

The Visitor

The Visitor is the second novel I've written, and focuses on the murder of a young girl in a small remote town in Oregon, called Point Truth. The blurb is as follows:

'Some people come into your life to teach you how to let go.'

Point Truth, Oregon.

A grieving woman, who has recently lost her daughter to violence, is greeted one night from a slow-burn shift by a mysterious stranger on her doorstep.

The man offers her a deal: In exchange for complete anonymity, and the promise of 'a call, just once, further down the line', he offers to not only find her daughters killers, but to also dole out some revenge.

When the bodies start piling up, and people she never knew suddenly become capable of the unthinkable, the town starts to implode on itself in secrets, violence, and death.

You don't back out of a deal with him. No siree.

You can now purchase The Visitor on Amazon over here.
